“Art knows no boundaries, therefore each genre should integrate with another, to create a unified visual platform.”

Through a long career working in many artistic fields embracing fine art projects to large scale sculpture, Peter Phillips has harnessed techniques via an understanding of all types of media, to draw and paint subjects as diverse as wildlife, landscapes, portraiture, and architectural studies.

Over the centuries many of our greatest painters — J.M.W. Turner, Sir John Everett Millais and T.M. Richardson, senior and junior — have portrayed Northumbria’s imposing grandeur, magical beauty and an almost mystical enchantment. Now Peter Phillips has captured this unique county with his art in “a journey of exploration, fulfilment and discovery through these truly magnificent and equally breathtaking landscapes, beachscapes and seascapes.”

Explore Britain’s most stunning historic sites through the eyes of an artist, who has been captivated by the countryside, castles and coastline, notably in the handsomely crafted books ‘Bamburgh — The King of Castles’, ‘Alnwick Parks Sketchbook’ and the new ‘Northumberland Sketchbook’, all of which capture the very essence of Northumbria.
